This little embroidery is a tiny piece of abstraction. Stitched contrasting colors appear on a blue, watery background.

I make my embroidered hoop art from upcycled scraps of vintage silk in odd sizes. This is two pieces stitched together. I painted the hoop to emphasize the transition.

This piece is finished in the hoop with a felt backing that is stitched with my initials.
