This unique embroidery is stitched on two joined pieces of silk. When I make these pieces, I will riff on the original colors and patterns in the cloth. I will also introduce contrasting elements until the piece takes on a life of its own.

This artwork incorporates miyuki beads, different types of threads and stitches.

The hoop has been painted and it is finished with a felt backing and my initials on the back. it is ready to hang on a small nail or propped on a mantle or shelf.
