This embroidery hoop includes a wide variety of stitches and techniques: chain stitch, satin stitch, french knots, spider wheel, fly stitch, basic stitch, backstitch stars, pompoms, pinwheel, beading, and felt appliqué. In my embroidery, I love to experiment with the different textures and effects all of these different methods create.

The palette for this piece is a range of ochres, blues, deep burgundies, and copper. The hoop is also painted with metallic acrylic paint.

This hoop is finished with a felt backing stitched with my initials. The hoop has been painted with bronze acrylic paint to give it a little extra gleam.
